The four purposes of Calvary Bible Church are as follows (from the CBC Constitution):
Edification: “To teach the historical and fundamental truths of God’s Word and to equip the saints for the work of the ministry; and to provide an environment in which Christian fellowship may encourage these saints in their faith.” At Calvary we desire to nurture spiritual growth in believers through the Word of God in order to increasingly grow in personal holiness and effective ministry.
Evangelism: “To participate in world missions by training and encouraging believers to have effective local outreach; and to reach beyond the local area by supporting world-wide missions.” At Calvary we desire to effectively communicate the gospel message through personal witness, the ministries of this church and around the world through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.
Worship: “To regularly provide the opportunity and environment in which believers may worship God through their prayer, praise, service and financial offerings.” At Calvary we desire to live for God’s honor and praise, both as individuals and a church body.
Family: “To equip and encourage families to establish Christian homes which will be pleasing to God and to develop such ministries as lead to this end.” At Calvary we desire to encourage and strengthen the family according to God’s design as revealed in His Word.
